Solid Waste Utility bills will be mailed mid to late January 2023.
The new due dates are March 1, June 1, September 1, December 1
Billing is set up the same as in the past — as a one-time bill (similar to your tax bill), with four (4) coupon vouchers.
Please include the voucher when making your payment.
General Information Regarding Recycling Collection
Starting on March 31, 2014, the utility's hauler will begin collecting "single stream" recycling. Your collection day will remain the same, however, you will now be able to place all recycling materials in a single container and place them at the curb for collection.
Recycling Materials
- Recycling containers must not exceed 50 pounds, 32 gallon containers are recommended.
- Shredded paper should be put in a paper bag or box that can be recycled.
- Do not tie cardboard or newspapers. Put in reusable containers loose, or stack folded boxes into a cardboard box.
- Label your recycling containers with free decals available at Town Hall.
- Put all Styrofoam into the regular solid waste, it is coded Number 6 and is not acceptable for recycling.
Please do not place your recyclables in plastic garbage bags, they will not be picked up. Place all recyclables in either a garbage container or plastic reusable bins. You can also place your fiber recyclables (newspapers and magazines) in cardboard boxes or brown paper bags.
