  • Home Depot (Newton) - NO collection box, but customers can bring bags to the customer service desk, and they will be consolidated with store plastic.
  • Kohl's (Newton) - collection box at Customer Service area (also a box for paper bags!)
  • Lowes (Newton) - collection bin in vestibule alongside battery and bulb collection bins.
  • Stop and Shop (Sparta) - collection box inside the store by lottery ticket machines.
  • Weis (Newton) - NO collection box, but customers can bring bags to the customer service desk, and they will be consolidated with store plastic.
  • Weis (Franklin) - Collection container outside the store.
  • Sussex County Libraries - are also collecting. They have extended their Trex program through February 27, 2023.

Shopping Bags

Currently, there are no recycling opportunities for reusable shopping bags (#5). There is a zip code-based link to donate reusable bags to local food pantries.

Another option: check with local schools that may be considering entering the NexTrex Challenge in the fall. View more information about this program.
