Population approximately 20,000. Bachelor’s Degree (required), Master’s Degree (preferred) from an accredited college in the field of recreation management, parks, or public administration. Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably 5+, as an assistant or director of municipal recreation programs is desired. Certified Park & Recreation Professional/Executive (CPRP/CPRE) certification preferred. Management and coordination of programs including senior citizen programming, youth & adult sports/exercise programs, parks & athletic fields permitting & maintenance oversight, special events, summer camp program, grant acquisition, and program development. Responsible for annual operating and capital budget preparation & implementation. Strong communication, organizational, project management, budget / financial management, computer, social media, and customer service skills needed. Must have valid NJ driver’s license.
